The room was good and you could easily fit 5 persons and a baby into the room. The kitchenette had basic equipment to allow cooking in the room. Our room had a nice view to the sea. Also the pool area was nice and you could easily swim in the sea too.
The area had a lot of stairs, so moving around with the baby carriage was somewhat tricky.
My first impression of the hotel was ok, but not more. I got a kind of a "camping" feeling, but when we got inside the apartment we were glad to have booked on Splendid. The room was big and had a huge terrace. Not to speak about the sea view, The extra spend money for a sea view was worth the money. There is no cleaning of the room and you have to buy toilet paper. The bed sheets were changed once and we got new towels twice. But remember it is only 2 stars. Compared to our friends who stayed at a 4 stars hotell, I would defenatly book at splendid again:)
I would have preferred to get it cleaned once during our stay.
The proximity to numerous beaches was great. The restaurants were all pretty good and it was nice to have a good sized market onsite.
Nice and quiet location, clean apartments. All kinds of dishes, bowls (and even a coffee maker) are available in the kitchen. Don't let the 2-star rating turn you off, because it definitely deserves more.
Internet is avalable only at the reception and pool area.
Rooms were clean and enough large our family (2 adults and three kids). Beach and water was good and clear. If you like to spend your holidays with among other peoples this is your place.
Hotel was not especially personal. There was too much customers to us.
Location is good (you will need your own car though), and panoramic views are extraordinary
staff demands extra payment for everything. You pay extra for airconditioning, you pay extra por sunbeds, for your sun umbrella, you pay extra for laying down by the sea... I expected an all-in after making my reservation in the website. Some restaurants in the complex, incredibly high prices for low quality and service. No beach, you jump from the rocks into the sea. Swimming pool uses cold water pumped in from the sea. Not gold everything that shines.
Location of the hotel is right on the water. Beautiful view of the sea from the room. Restaurants and grocery stores all within walking distance. Several beaches within walking distance. Hotel room was very clean and modern, and very quiet. Hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. Bus stop to city center nearby and made it easy to get to the city center.
At checkin passports were taken by the staff as a deposit until they received payment, which was discomforting, but we paid quickly and got passports back. Beds were really hard. Very cheap rates, but that does not include air conditioning, etc, which one has to pay for extra. Within the hotel complex there were no atms. The closet atm is located about 25 mins away at hotel histria.
Chaiselongue at the pool, bar in the walking distance in the next resort, walking pass next to the beach
Resort did not have a nice breakfast place or a night bar, it was not possible to book any boat tours at the reception, the taxi charged 3x reasonible price for getting there
The views of the Adriatic sea were breathtaking. Close to the city. The local bus ran into town, fares were cheap. Bring water shoes, the beaches are rocky and in some areas there are lots of sea urchins. In many areas there are rock formations that afford privacy. It felt like the ocean was yours for the day. The apartment we stayed in accommodated our party of seven nicely. There was also a market on the compound to buy necessities. But if you are staying for a longer period of time the city bus runs to the local grocery stores.
The beds were hard.
Great location - Verudela penninsula is close to the city but it's own place as well. The views are stunning and the rooms clean. The beaches are rocky but as lonely planet put it - only die hard sand fans won't enjoy the istrian penninsula. Went in May - the temperature was 26-29 each day (without a cloud), and the resort was almost deserted which was excellent. Would recommend travelling outside of the main june- august window
There was a waiter at the pool/deckchairs area who couldn't speak english well at all, and came across as quite rude, and sleazy. However, he was replaced each afternoon by a lovely guy who made up for it. The on-site shop shuts at 2pm, which is inconvenient - and it's completely overpriced. I would strongly recommend stopping in at one of the big supermarkets on the way from the airport - cheap as chips. The local beers are good and worth trying
The D-Apt seaview, top floor was clean with a great view. Satellite tv was adequate. The kitchenette was stocked with ample utensils and dinnerware. Beds were comfortable. Parking was freely available. Pula is small enough that you can't get lost and its a great launching pad to see the rest of Croatia. Wi-Fi was free and readily available but only poolside. In the summer, it will be a must to buy the a/c card which also comes at an additional charge. I recommend this hotel but be aware of hidden charges and surrendering your passport.
Let me start off by saying I hate hidden charges and that's what I was hit with - Tourist Tax - expect to pay an additional 4-7 krn per person per day. Booked.net doesn't mention this and should make it clear to customers. My 185 Euro booking cost shot up to 225 Euro for 2 people for over 4 days. It didn't break the bank but that's a surprise additional 40 Euro or $57 that was not budgeted. Families or extended stays be aware. Also, be prepared to either pay your bill upfront or surrender your passport as security. I'm very protective of who handles my passport so I paid upfront. Because the resort is on the side of a cliff, it means there's a lot of stairs from room to pools to parking. This is not a place for the elderly, the unfit or people with knee problems. It is also more like a public park than a private resort because 10-20 local pre-teens monopolized pools and seating areas instead of being for guests only.
Large apartment on the sea front, clean, quiet. I was pleasantly surprised of the quality of this accomodation, as I didn't expect much when I booked it, being so cheap and rated only 2 stars. But it's excellent value for money and I really enjoyed my stay there. Can watch the sun setting on the sea from the balcony and there is a nice smell from the pine forest. Friendly staff at reception, and they were speaking good english. Definitely recommend it.
All ok but no wifi as in the description.
The location. Absolutely gorgeous.
Just be careful when preparing food in your apartment as ants can be a problem.
It was fantastic. The description "Apartment type e with sea view" doesn't do it justice. It was clean, spacious, with a stunning west facing view and a sun trap of a terrace, close to the pool (which is a wifi hotspot). It was very quiet and peaceful in May, and very inexpensive. The shop sold fresh food. I'm so pleased I didn't book the Horizont, which is part of the same complex.
